The analogy about giving a man a fish to feed him for a day, and teaching a man to fish to feed him for a year springs to mind.
I know the meaning is most likely lost on you because you just want the free dinner, and believe that that is the caring thing to do.

Let’s explore what you mean:

So you say: “teaching a man to fish to feed him for a year springs to mind”

Please could explain which of Trumps policies do that. Typically to lift people out of poverty you need to create opportunity: support for education, training schemes, apprenticeships. Or making affordable loans or even grants for people who are starting or growing their businesses.

Another way to help people is to help get people on the housing ladder

Another way to help is to make healthcare and medicines affordable.

Funnily enough, the democrats were offering all those things.
