Things that make you go Hmmm.....

Surely on a TN-C-S the earth is supposed to be separate after the cutout and never linked to the neutral again?

Following on from this thread, I phoned the DNO and reported a high Ze on a looped TN-S supply. I was back at the property today, and the DNO have done the repair. What do you reckon?
The question no one has asked is whether you have 'had words' with anyone about this?

Kind Regards, John.

I'm not that bothered TBH. It's safe enough, it just looks RAF. It's all going to be hidden away in a cupboard anyway so even if I got someone out to re-do it all it's not actually going to gain anything.

Yes, I agree with all that. I just wondered whether you felt that the perpetrator's boss should be given an opportunity to admire their employee's work!

Kind Regards, John.

I probably should have done as all the other dealings I've had with the DNO have been great, but I didn't.

That's rough as a badgers ass! I can see he's just bonded the earth to the neutral to make a rudimentary PME system. This will work but is not proper, if he was going to go down the route of providing you with an earth then he should of gone and dug up the service as it joins to the main and re jointed back to the main, possibly bonding the earth to the neutral there if needed. Scruffy git!
