Im sure they'd simply say, but you must have removed the fence to dig the hole. etc.Not many Plumbing & Draiange engineers do fencing jobs!

Funnily enough, no.Don't we pay enough taxes already?

Or one pandering to those who use tax free investments instead of ones that you pay tax on, eh? What’s your thought on that John? None? I thought so…..When we have a government pandering to voters who prefer a penny off their tax,
I'm not disbelieving you.Yes, I did dig the fence out and refit with a new one, but it was my fence. I was not working as trade fencer working for money, hence this being a DIY job.
Andy
I'm not disbelieving you.
I'm saying from the point of view of a lowly worker at the tip who is given rules to follow.
How does he know the difference? He doesn't, he just applies the rules he's given.
He probably hears "it's from my own house/garden" a dozen times a day
You can pay more tax if you think you don't pay enough.Funnily enough, no.
You might have noticed that our public services are in a dire state.
Public services, for the benefit of the nation, are paid for by public funding, at the expense of the nation, which means you and me.
If we want to have decent schools and hospitals, if we want to have police and prisons, if we want to have roads and recycling tips, if we want to have an army, we have to pay for them.
When we have a government pandering to voters who prefer a penny off their tax, to living in a decent country, we have to expect poor public services. That's where we are today.
You inferred you were in your van.It was in the back of my car, I didn't drive there in my van.
So that's how he should of known the difference!
Andy
You must know that paying more taxes doesn't necessarily translate directly into better public services...
You inferred you were in your van.
You're lucky where you are!I pay my taxes, i use the council tip yet, the council still expect exorbitant fees to carry out a task that is their duty anyway!!!
Council tax goes up but we still have to pay more!! Have you seen how many council workers they employ at the tips? They just stand around drinking coffee!!!
I told them it was my old fence that I replaced. They wouldn't let me in and told me to go home and burn it in the garden!
