It's carp...

Been there, got the T-shirt, etc

But Glodwick, whilst deprived, isn't quite hell on earth

I'm not sure she'll ever make it as a tour guide but it was interesting to take a winter walk around a place i haven't seen, although recognise in other towns and cities like Derby, Stoke or Nottingham. A telling indicator of the way a population demographic changes is Polish communities leaving and Asian communities growing in their place.
Many Poles settled in these areas after WWII and faced some hostility by residents as they made a living, usually in setting up corner shops just as Asians do these days. It's sad to see those churches run down and surrounded by roads, covered in graffiti and pigeons but the congregations have moved or died and mosques reflect the new faith of people living there.

Don't worry about the number of Mosques. Yes, I totally accept your comment was purely an observation.
There's less than 2,000 Mosques in UK.
There's 40,000 churches.
So the percentage of Mosques compared to Churches is just under 5%, about the same percentage as the Muslim population compared to the Christian population.
I've never heard of anyone discussing the number of churches.

They must have shut quite a few mosques then because some years back I read there were 500 in in one Birmingham suburb alone.
At that time you only needed a minimum of 7 'worshippers' to register as a place of worship.
Places of worship are exempt from council tax, I'd suggest there are more mosques than churches.

Of course you would.

How many mosques are there in the UK 2020?
The UK has 1,800 mosques catering to a community of more than 3 million Muslims.Jun 11, 2021

List of mosques in the United Kingdom

But I can appreciate how you might have difficulty in differentiating between community centres and churches.

I'm waiting for Andy to declare non-practicing Christians to be apostates and heretics who should be put to the stake. But as a non-theist I would say that, wouldn't I?

He'll be in Wetherspoons spending the King's shilling.

What about the pubs?
Should unwanted buildings, or organisations be subsidised in order to exist, if they're not used or wanted?
Why?
Some pubs have been put too use as shi sha bars in Oldham where underage white girls were shagg*d on a regular basis according to reports. Fine use of a building eh.

If people are smoking shisha in your premises YOU are committing a criminal offence.
Keep going because you're proving to everyone how much of a devout racist you are.

Many buildings have been used for sexual exploitation and abuse, both for juniors and unwilling adults, often under the cover of supposedly caring for the children.
There's all the numerous children's homes not just in UK, but in so many other countries also, often countries that had the Queen as their monarch. Then there's all those churches, even the Houses of Parliament, media studios, etc. where sexual and physical abuse is enacted.

If Shisha bars existed in Oldham at least the girls would know exactly what sort of premises they were entering. In the case of children's homes the children were invariably forced there against their will, or under subterfuge of being cared for. Some children were tortured and even murdered in such establishments.

But I've never noticed you complaining about the abuse of children, unmarried mothers etc. in these sort of establishments.
It's the old 'Mottie' routine, complaining about something, and ignoring exactly the same elsewhere, The obvious difference is that the one implicates foreigners or immigrants, whereas the other doesn't.

I think it's more a case of how easy it is to trigger you. You make yourself so easy to play looking at everything through that one eye.

I think you're scratching for excuses to explain away your rabid racism.
That's another leg-hopping, hole-digging, circle-running exercise practised by a few on here.

Another one in the onion bag, like shelling peas.
Another racist scrabbling for an excuse for his rampant racism.
I don't mind being a victim of a troll. It's way better than being an exposed racist.
Anyone who resorts to racism to troll another is still a racist.
The victim of the troll is exactly that, a victim. The exposed racist is exactly that, a racist who's ranting racism has been exposed for what it is.
Racist = a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
It doesn't need adding to that definition, but I'll mention it anyway: someone who's prejudice causes them to spread false rumours to stir up hatred against an ethnic group.
