Once again these are not in your thoughts when you go into a war zone. Obviously a NATO country under attack would be a. reason to go but once there you always think that this is simply not worth it. Life is very cheap on the battlefield. It is no fun and no sense of pride whilst you are amongst it.

Putin isn't going to invade a nato country, but, in that hypothetical scenario, then yes I would think that that would be a just time to send in the troops... if all diplomatic means proved unfruitful, and America committed troops also.
