Hi
Ive got a Poinsettia from last year that is now mainly green. I know its now the time to start putting it in darkness, so was just wondering...if I put it up on top of my kitchen cupboards, which is in pitch black during the night (basically between 10pm-11pm onwards), would that be enough for it to start going red again?

Yeh I reckon it may get about 8 hours of darkness a night? Is this not enough or would it just really slow the process down? Maybe best off just getting a box over it

The link says they need 14 hours of darkness for 8 weeks.

Everywhere Ive looked says different. Some say between 8 and 12 hours, some say 10 some say 12. Has anyone got any experience in this, or will I just put a box over it every day after about 5pm?
