UFO / UAP

The fact remains that the chances of us being alone as in life in the Universe is very remote to the point of impossibility.
No, it's the opposite. The possibility of other intelligent life existing at the same time as us, and finding earth, are vanishingly small, if not impossible. The size of the universe is unimaginable and mostly empty.

Yes.

That would depend on how long it takes to achieve (10% of light speed) I guess. If its more than half the journey, then the propulsion system will be busy accelerating and slowing down and using fuel.
I see why you are confused now. Newton's First Law of Motion disagrees. Your google calculator will help you.

“How long will it take to accelerate to 20% of light speed at 5g”.
“How long will it take to get to the nearest star at 20% of light speed”
“Does an object in a vacuum without gravity continue at the same speed without propulsion”

"Hypothesised to be" is the phrase you're looking for ;)

Funny how one side of the debate is rooted in knowns and provens: the other, in fantasies and speculations...........

......until one of those speculations suddenly becomes "fact", when it is required as a foundation of their position. (y)
Your theory that space is empty, otherwise we’d see it is equally convincing.

According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, going faster than the speed of light is off-limits in the real world. For this reason, warp drives, like the one powering spaceships in Star Wars and other science fiction movies, have always been firmly in the realm of imagination — until now.

The new model eliminates the need for exotic energy, using instead a sophisticated blend of traditional and novel gravitational techniques to create a warp bubble that can transport objects at high speeds within the bounds of known physics.

It is not my theory.

I was listening to a cosmology podcast recently, where a paper based on some JWST observations called some measurement or another into question.
The "fact" that space was indeed basically empty was talked about, with regard to the subject.

I'll see if I can find out the reference at some point.

Isn’t it a scifi sin to mix Star Wars and Star Trek?

IIRC, neither SW nor ST leave their own galaxy, other than fleetingly and even then, not by their own means.

I stand to be corrected though (although it matters little, as they're both works of fiction).

They havent though. So many testimonies of ordinary people having contact.......
UFO sightings seem to have started in earnest at the same time as powered flight and space travel. Why? You would expect evidence from before this period given the time the universe has been around. And why do they mostly hover above earth? If they’ve surmounted all the obstacles to get here, why not land? And why do those that crash happen to end up in remote areas conveniently accessible by the American “government “ where they can be whisked away in secret. The whole premise seems to be akin to a conspiracy theory which you cannot fully prove you cannot refute.

The theory is of relativity, just that, it’s not absolute. Like Father Teds big cow/little cow

No. Many sighting from going back hundreds of years....
