UK to Rwanda asylum plan ruled unlawful

I see quite a few EU countries are pushing for a scheme similar to our Rwanda agreement.

So is France, Spain, Italy, Greece and all the other European countries they pass through. We somehow need to stop the economic illegal immigration as we can’t carry on like we have been, it’s costing the taxpayer far too much.
Yes. We need a system

You know what your like himmy, it all gets pointless in the end having any kind of discussion because of the characteristic prejudices you cannot overcome, resulting in you being banned on here on numerous occasions.

The French Navy have regularly escorted small boats to the halfway point then phoned the British. This is what happens, sorry if it offends any delicate do-gooders but it's just a fact...

On Tuesday a French warship appeared to escort around 13 migrants crammed into a dinghy into English waters while a baffled ITV film crew was left to monitor the vessel, The Sun reported.

Of course they claim they're just checking they're OK, but what they're actually doing is making it much safer, encouraging and emboldening the next lot and those beyond.

Sadly the lefties don't have an answer, just vague waffle about improving the immigration system, it's a tory problem etc etc. They definitely will not address the issue and will certainly make the problem far worse by increasing the rewards for those who do it. As ever, lefties don't understand the concept of unintended consequences - help the first lot by letting them in then there will be 10x more behind them, 10x more hotel rooms, 10x more deaths in the channel as a result of stupid brainless attempts at being kind.

Whatever persecution they're fleeing, apparently it only affects 20-odd year old males. We're being taken for a ride, sadly some must have "mug" written on their foreheads and fall for the garbage about them being poor needy souls.

Seems like an issue our Governnent should be addressing then if the reports can be substantiated.

Who are we blaming ?

That report is two years old. What is your preferred solution?

You doing your stuck record thing again? Is that step 2 after the demand for the evidence of the obvious?

I don't know, but I'm sure a government that actually wanted to solve the issue could do. Ideas off the top of my unqualified and unpaid head...

A prison island, with terrible conditions and a free one-way flight to anywhere in the world whenever they wanted.
A rope, towing them back to France.
A torpedo. Not entirely serious, but this could actually save lives - kill 10 to save another 100 from risking their lives.

That's all childish.

What about wanting our Government to actually do something? If the reports are true, then that's where the attention is needed.

Not really, some people like to gob off like a stuck record and criticise but don't know what the solution is. We do need a solution, but you don't know what it is. Cool...

You're not making any differentiation between Asylum Seekers, and Economic migrants.

Asylum seekers can decide which country they wish to claim asylum. It's writen into the UN Refugee Charter.

Now Economic Migration is a different kettle of fish. Economic migrants bring required and desired skills and investment into the country.
There's a system for vetting them to see if they meet the criteria. If they don't meet the criteria they are refused a visa.

But neither Asylum Seeking, nor Economic Migration is illegal.
I stated economic immigration, asylum is completely different and wasn't mentioned in my post.

Not something you'd find alien to your good self Mr glib.
If someone puts up a profile of people who the taxpayer has too fund for nefarious ways and then assimilates this should be a worldwide sense of 'duty' to some abstract feeling of responsibility to people across the world then I don't get the vibes, sorry if this doesn't suit.
