I was referring to stalemate situations. The shelling etc just continues and little movement. The blokes reporting does seem to fit in with what can be gained from the news. He is currently favouring Ukraine more. Previously he was favouring Russia for obvious reasons as they were gaining. He blamed that on both sides being effectively organised in the way Soviet armies are but missed the fact that Russia had reorganised certain areas and the command chain changes have probably reduced their efficiency.Their operations in the North have slowed down a bit but even there they're still pushing on. They need to prepare before they can try any new breakthroughs but it isn't quiet, just not future textbook and Hollywood movie material action.
There was some tit for tat. Ukraine city looses power followed by one actually in Russia having the same experience. Sounds like it was smaller though. Hard to tell. it sounded like a substation hit.
