A lot depends on production rates. Something we know nothing at all about other than shells etc are still being used. The other factor is getting them there. The USA for instance is rather a long way away.
Some one has been updating an equipment page. A mobile howitzer. Russia has lost at least 26 of them. However they are reckonned to have 2,200 of them left. Another lost 66 but have 1700 more. They have enormous numbers of tanks. This is the other side of the coin in terms of equipment. They are likely to have spare barrels for the stuff as well. All spares needed really.
Men - they have a problem. Reserves having a vodka party on the way to war. Doesn't say they are reluctant neither does footage showing more getting into coaches. Larger demo in one area as they feel too many of their local people are going to war.
Demo's. Russia has a population of 144m. Moscow over 12m, even a demo of 1,000s doesn't show much about general opinions. St Petersburg 5.5m. Anti war, London ~750,000 from all over the place - did they reflect public opinion? A war based on misinformation from the military end of things - intelligence. There does appear to be a real reason behind it concerning Israel and Sadam's ideas about getting others to join him and attack it. - pass. Reporting on Russian demo's is fine and lets hope they grow.
Withdrawals.
Personal view Russia is mad taking them all on as not part of the stated areas. Those seem to have expanded of late, more to come if they succeed. If not in the stated areas? I don't regard them as being that important.
They are a failures. Kiev, not so sure as it tied up Ukrainian troops where Russia appeared to be graining ground elsewhere in the SE.
