Must say that Sombrero's post above is one of the best responses to a foolish person's post i have seen for a long time.
And now the 'Don't Think It Cuts Both Ways?' thread has gone!
I'm not sure what the mods want us to do now. Threads that have been deleted so far all contain the 'M' word, so there appears to be a pattern. This thread, however, that also contains the 'M' word is still here. Perhaps it won't be here tomorrow.
Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that an unwritten rule has been added: DO NOT MENTION THE 'M' WORD.
Just so long as we all know.

Disappointing noseall. People feel strongly about stuff and it get's deleted... it's frustrating....
And to issue a blanket slagging off is poor form... I thought better of you than that !
It is the continual banging of the head against a brick wall that i find astonishing, i.e. the omnipresent post "Wot happened to my thread" thing.
You would think that having tried and failed many times that the penny would eventually drop.
You have to admire the brain numbingly relentlessness of some people. Maybe that brick wall is a pleasant change from whatever bland things are going on in some peoples' lives.

I agree. A discussion forum is intended for discussion. If any specific topics are to be disallowed, that should be specified in the forum rules.

I think that if i had tried and failed to get my message across enough times then it would be time to use intelligence.
Try being a bit more subtle, i.e. covert.
Deletion of threads, me? Dunner be daft, that would indicate that i actually put some value on them. Nah, take it all with a pinch o' salt. I don't mind a bit of stick me.
I just find the repetitive stuff very tiring. I also find one sided arguments disturbing especially the 'mob rules' ones that sometimes crop up from time to time. You know, those ones where you have to use lots of quoting and different smiley characters just to nail it home. I think they call it a bandwagon...?
