Any evidence for that?

Gawd, if the specific monkey virus had been used before , some people would have antibodies to it and the vaccine would be stopped. The dna has to get into the cell nucleus. It wouldn't do that if antibodies got it first. So they have to use a variation for every vaccine. You can't give multiples of the same AZ vaccine.

Check how many doses given in India, and who stopped it.

This one mentions India, amongst others...

"Official support for this drug also occurred in other countries in Latin America. However, these countries have experienced multiple waves of COVID-19 cases and deaths throughout 2020 and 2021 despite the ivermectin recommendation in place (Figure 3). Peru withdrew its recommendation in March 2021.

India is on around 8 million doses a day. It's not stopped. In fact it's about as fast as it's ever been.

Do you just make this stuff up to make yourself sound clever?

You misunderstod me - I meant Ivermectin doses. Some big number I forgot. Then there was an edict not to use it, "because it wasn't approved". Trials - of varying quality - were done in India which appeared to show it being beneficial, so it looked odd.

8 million doses a day big? I doubt that. For a start they don't produce it in that volume.

There was similar guidance for Hydroxycholoroquine, it turned out to be a good idea.

Still no thoughts on Dexamethasone I see. You know, an actual treatment that has been shown to work.

I did not say 8 million doses of ivermectin, Ok?? YOU said 8mill vaccines.

specific monkey

"Specific monkey", what are you on about? I showed you research where the chimpanzee adenovirus was used previously and is used now in the AZ vaccine. They all have the same prefix ChAd which stands for chimpanzee adenovirus. I'll grant you it is probably coming from different chimpanzees, I'd hate to think they've been using the same one over the years.

Have you finally tired of having your misdirections challenged?

No I'm tired of people misquoting , making straw men etc etc etc.

SUggesting there may be more to it that we know, and there's a surprising number of trials claiming some benefit which need explaining other than by edict, is not a misdirection.

There might be, but it looks like it's another one that won't pan out, after all it didn't work in the only large scale randomised trial to publish results that hasn't been retracted.
