Vive La France!

You are a Unionist, so surely you should want Northern Ireland to have the same laws as GB
Why?
Does Scotland have the same laws as England.
In America, different states have different laws.

Jeez can you even read?

To show that an opinion has been formed 'in good faith' does not mean that authorising an abortion must be the 'right' course of action

It literally tells them this is not an authorisation.
2.1 Currently, the requirement for two doctors to certify that a woman meets the legal grounds for abortion has the potential to delay treatment. It may be difficult for a woman who is concerned about confidentiality to find two doctors to approve her abortion request. There is no central monitoring of delays to treatment of this type, but recently, Tony Calland, the Medical Ethics Committee Chair of the British Medical Association (BMA) said that "some women waited up to 13 weeks [gestation] to have their abortion approved by two doctors and removing this requirement would reduce such a wait and the associated risks". The requirement for two signatures for solely legal purposes also increases treatment costs by introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

Tony Calland says it's approve, take it up with him. (y) (he can't, he wont).

Approval/authorisation occurs after they sign. Nowt you have said thus far changes that fact. All your referrals to processes that occur before this are pointless.

That's a bold claim. You are saying that saving the lives of thousands of women worldwide is superseded by an Academy Award? Have you been sniffing glue again?

Are you seriously suggesting that denying women access to abortion is a good thing?

You women hating bastards make me puke.

A policy of aborting the life of a Down Syndrome baby may not be as clear cut as it seems, i'd say. Not everyone will win an Oscar - then again, neither will you with all this Ham acting in the long running Soap 'Doctor, Doctor', that's begun to run into a storyline going round in circles.

Time for an ad-break: Smoke Camels: "I am not a doctor but i approve this message."

Your struggles to stay out of this thread go on...
Can't stay away from a soapy storyline...what will happen next? - will you discern any difference betwixt approval and consent? Is there any difference? will mbk admit there's no difference? will Denso get the thread locked down? will i give a rats furry ass? will Bod find his mysterious rat? will Vinty find a Fenian under the bed? Is there life on Mars? All these questions may or may not be answered in the next episode of 'Doctor, Doctor'. Stay tooned...

Oh I see, so you want to be part of the United Kingdom when it suits you.

Mind you, as you voted for Brexit you now have a customs border between you and GB and you are in the European Single Market

It won’t be long before you are United with Republic of Ireland, known simply as Ireland

I'll just keep posting up instances (there are thousands) where distinguished people (not a driving instructor/dingy captain) refer to the conclusion of the two doctor sign-off process as approval.
Meanwhile, MBK will continue to make a fool of himself, posting up irrelevant information referring to things that occur prior to the approval.

Dr Tony Calland knows his stuff...

Absolute nonsense.

Sorry to be brutal, but you are struggling to interpret some quite basic legislation.

Its not me who doesn't understand..

...It is common ground that all the steps required by the Abortion Act 1967 as a precondition to such a termination have been taken and, in particular, that in accordance with section 1(1)(a) of the Act it has been certified by two doctors that in their opinion the continuance of the pregnancy would involve risk of injury to the physical or mental health of Miss S greater than if the pregnancy were terminated.

What is said by Mr. Wright is that termination of a pregnancy at this stage will necessarily involve the commission of a criminal offence under section 1(1) of the Infant Life (Preservation) Act 1929, the provisions of which are unaffected by the Abortion Act 1967.

and it was in fact this piece of legislation that finally brought power to the abortion act.

Vinty doesn’t care about the rights of a foetus, it’s faux outrage.

Vinty refuses to answer why he wants abortion to be be illegal when evidence shows it has no effect on abortion rates.

Vintys narrow minded attitude, explains why Ireland had troubles for so many years and which continues - clearly there is something in the character of some Irish people that makes them so stubborn, dogmatic and ideological.

WRONG. Read it again. This is going to be fun....

To show that an opinion has been formed 'in good faith' does not mean that authorising an abortion must be the 'right' course of action, simply that the doctor has not been dishonest or negligent in forming that opinion.

'Authorising an abortion', is precisely what they are saying, lol. I can't believe you posted that!

P.S. look where the comma is. (y)
