We Will Dance Again

Paywalled unfortunately so can't read it.
No it's not. For me anyway. Wait for the cookie stuff - ok then click the down arrow on the subscription link.

Fair view really but in one case Benj does have an end game - no 2nd state.

Lebanon - posturing concerning a ground invasion. There has been a lot of rubble created in the south. Looks to be up to the infamous river. Seems to me that Lebanon could hit back from the other side of that but not sure.

They say they want those to move back to the other side of the river.

Maybe he'll have a 'road to Damascus' moment and change his mind.
It looks like a return of the pre hamas set up to me with additional Israeli territory taken in the west bank. He may be assuming he has to give way so grab as much as possible for his negotiating position. He also sees it as a method of never achieving the other state,

Ceasefire calls now just mean carry on. They always will unless the Sec Council does something or one side is totally defeated - difficult to achieve as it may well breed more.

Never letting any arms into the likely setup? Better keep and eye on a number of substances.

Very powerful speech by Netanyahu at the UN today.
Represents a sovereign state so can do what he likes, As some other do including Putin.

Big bangs in Beirut today. Really big ones. Red and black smoke.

As I've said before I'm not a fan of Netanyahu but he is a great orator. He hadn't intended going but after hearing some anti Israel speeches changed his mind. It's a long listen but worth it.

A lot walked out when he appeared. He bought some supporters with him from his public. He complains about UN resolutions but only gets them as he breaks laws. He needn't have settled the west bank or have done a number of things. If he feels like that he should drop out of the UN. A lot of Israel's problems do relate to the Palestinian problem. Zero interest really in sorting that out. There are indications that there never has been even going way back.

He's bad news stacking even more on than has been gained via history. The root goes back to colonialism and I feel he is still into that. He throws in dubious religious aspects. Bit like early popes. Used in other religions a well. He's as dated as they are.
