I agree, letting Alonso go (and more importantly, thinking the team wasn't any worse for losing him) is one of the most stupid things Rafa did whilst at Anfield - and that's saying something. I guess the jury's still out with Dalgleish - but i fear for LFC that he wont be given the time or the money to do everything that now needs doing...

It wasn't so much that he let him go, it was more a case of he couldn't stop him. He'd got up his nose the year before by trying to get shut of him and replace him with barry (barry ffs). So when madrid came in alonso said f**k you I'm off, can't blame him, no hard feelings, great, great player, very classy man the way he handled himself, before during and after.
I think you're probably right there unfortunately, these new yanks seem to want some flashy young character in there. We'll just have to see.

I do support a football team myself. In my house their is a Hull supporter, Man U supporter, Liverpool Supporter, Chesterfield Supporter and a Lincoln City supporter. When we talk about the teams we support it never becomes any more than friendly banter. Some people do it take it a bit too seriously though.
Have I f##k got wife and little nipper these days. my footy excursions are few and far between. Once or twice a season when a mate gets me a ticket
