Woman are less likely to be violent than men, so why don't they empty the women's prisons and use them to house male criminals.

I was watching the last night of the proms for the first time in a long while and land of hope and glory came on as i read motties post, fact not fun. The last government savaged the probation service leading to murders and other serious crimes because offenders were incorrectly released or not supervised. The same government also released prisoners early to relieve pressure on the system. Worst of all the justice system is in a state of near collapse because of austerity and the prevailing political view that spending on courts prisons and justice doesn't win votes. Karen from Facebook didnt cause that but she still needs dealing with, its not a zero sum game.

The answer is and was simple, build bigger more secure prisons. Im not a fan of Kieth but he's hardly to blame for that failure.
