Well trump

It may succeed, but as a misdemeanour maybe? it does appear to be a far lesser crime than 'inciting a riot', for which the evidence has no bounds apparently, verbally, digitally and photographically. There's far more evidence evidence of the 'Trump incited riots' than Boris's birthday party, and look what happened to him, he got an FPN.
It's a felony that would block Trump standing for President again.

All the other court cases Trump has lost recently (and it has been several) have been for simpler issues that he's been able to just pay the fine for, or where one of his companions have been a firewall to hide his own guilt.

But if the conviction fails, he's possibly a shoe in for the next Presidency. There's almost a delicious irony about it. I was keen for him to be re-elected, now, I'm not so sure, he is a nutter. Having said that, I would delight in the fact that the loony left having gone to extraordinary lengths to keep him out of power actually help to get him re-elected.

he is a nutter

The entire political establishment of Britain and America, left and right, is corrupt and wicked, self-serving and acting against those vote for them. Utter parasites, but so entrenched that it seems impossible that anybody could go against them.

More power to the nutter I say.

I believe not only could he run with a felony conviction, but he could be elected whilst in jail.
Seems you're right, how disappointing.

Although it might be for the best, a split Desantis/Trump vote would only be good for Dems.

It would only delay the nomination, though, wouldn't split the vote against Biden (or whoever, if he keels over).

How many years does it take to prepare a case against, say, inciting a riot?
It depends how rich and 'lawyered up' the accused is. Also depends upon how long it takes to sift through mountains of evidence. Also depends upon how long it takes to get reluctant (delay tactic) witnesses to testify.
I just see it as whittling down of his wealth and his popularity amongst the swing voters.
It's working too. The flabby orange moron is a liability. Best thing that could happen to the Dem's.

Trump represents the alt right / republican establishment, which is hugely powerful in america, hence his election victory. He's their best hope for permanently embedding that establishment, which is very bad news for the free world and the uk and Europe in particular. The eukraine war shows that the us cannot just retire to its boundaries and threaten anyone with nukes that crosses it.

Blup

According to what I saw today, Fat Tw@t was indicted (in simple terms) for

- Coercing Cohen to take out a loan to pay off SD
- Failing to declare the pay off as a campaign expense
(these seem a bit of a stretch to me but, hey ho .....)
- claiming the money he paid back to Cohen was a business expense, and claiming a tax deduction
- conspiracy (the above)

Let the lawyers argue the toss

Yep some thing like that all of which is connected to this porn actreess
Pay out

When are some Republicans going to take Biden to a court in a Republican state with Republican judges?

Not a prayer. Also, if the jury fail to convict, there are more (serious) charges awaiting.
Timings mean that the other charges are almost certainly going to be concurrent with this one. That will be very stressful: 2, maybe 3 sets of lawyers on the go, probably changing every week. Imagine the pressure on his time; and he's a lazy, low attention span kinda guy.

It's the documents charges he should be most scared of. They'll be along soon...
