Wood pigeons as we have loads of them visit us every day. Collared doves are similar so, from your hazy pic, they may possibly be them but I'm sticking with wood pigeons.

They look like Wood Pigeon to me.

Jet stream doesn't come from South America.

I never said it did. They island hop via Trinidad. They do fly they are birds of some sort. Then they catch the Jet Stream
They set off mid January

They are Parrots.. Amazon grey wood Partots, that migagrate. Don't like it too hot in the summer.

Edit. Actually, a Kingfisher looks pretty cool when in flight.
