My wife transcribes for some consultants. They drop the title of Doctor when they become a consultant and are just referred to as Mr/Mrs/Miss etc.

I thought it was surgeons who are Mr, or is it a consultant surgeon, I did some work for an ENT consultant (right weirdo) and he was Dr
Some consultants are physicians some are surgeons. They normally drop the 'Dr' title.

Anyone watch the astrazeneca documentary last night?
Was quite the eye opener,
Americans pit profit before health. The Germans and French sabotaged the vaccine roll out and cast doubt over the drug, the UK government was out of order taking doses from India.
It's sacrilegious that the western world is sending vaccines out to less fortunate countries almost at the end of their expiry date meaning truck loads are being dumped.
Matt Hancock actually made a correct decision which I think was more luck than judgement.
I felt really sorry for Oxford university, their product which they deserve to be proud of has been dragged through the mud for political gain and profits.
I'm surprised we are now using the more expensive vaccines over the az one across the board.

I had 2 AZ jabs, didn't have a booster as they didn't offer AZ again.
I did read yesterday that Astrazeneca said that the Macron/Merkel/EU dissing of their vaccine was responsible for thousands of deaths, possibly tens of thousands in europe.

Back on topic, I hardly seem to watch TV now, maybe a few recorded crime series, but mainly it's You Tube for me.
I'm watching the repair shop. Some very clever tradesmen on there.
Snap! I wish I had their skill levels. What we actually see, is dumbed down for the masses.

It is a shame the program devotes so little time to the restoration work, it would be really interest to learn how they are doing what they do. Sadly 90+% of the content seem to be the human story behind why the repair is being done - which I have no interest in.
It's the human part that pulls in the viewers, but yes, from personal interest point of view - I would like to see and follow more of the repair. All we see is the as it's brought in, a interesting glimpse of a partial repair, commented, then it's all done and shiny.

You misinterpreted the report. It was the restriction imposed by UK, and UK being provided with the first so many millions of vaccines that deprived the third world countries obtaining the cheapest vaccine.
I like watching the car restoration/repair programs when they are on when I'm cooking etc, especially the bits where the part isn't made anymore so they go to the one guy in the country that can make it, or the guys that are stiching upholstery by hand etc
