The worrying thing is how this idea that experts don't know what's best is everywhere - the Trump / tabloids / far right have effectively won, when politicians are dismissing what others politicians say on the grounds that they cannot possible really have a good idea, and then when corrected, just carry on with that thought that experts don't know.
