what do you think about Christmas

my mum was telling me the other day that when she was a child,she would go to bed xmas eve with no sign of xmas.in the morning she would wake to the house flly trimmed,tree up and presents underneath the tree.why did that tradition die out???.sounds brilliant to me and had i been told when i had small kids would have done the same for my kids.

If everybody did similar to that christmas would still be special, not just for the kids either. As it is now I completely hate it and can't wait for January when we get to halfway through October.
