Well, the A3 went for MOT today. I got Mrs Mottie to take it as I was out on a shoot. It was booked in for 8.30 so she dropped it off and went shopping. At 9.30 I got a call from them. The MOT tester hadn't turned up today so they couldn't do it. Rebooked it for next week.Pass. Of course!

Busy day for me today as I'm off on a jolly with my mates tomorrow. Took back the fifty quid bog seat that didn't work, a final bit of snagging on the downstairs bog freshen up, tidied up my tools that have been in the hall for months while I did a bit of decorating, butchered 4 pheasants that were shot yesterday and popped them in the freezer and did all my packing for my off-roading motorcycle trip in the Sierra Nevada tomorrow. Just this minute finished. A final glass of wine, a shower, a s hit and a shave and I'm good to go. Can't wait.
In Spain today. We were picked up and taken to our hotel to settle in after filling in all the paperwork for the bikes we’re hiring. We’re getting 1250 GS BMW’s.
We were taken out tonight for a cracking
steak meal and a few glasses of wine and now we’re back in the hotel settling in. There are five of us and each of us have got a three bed hotel room to ourselves so I don’t have to put up with my roomies snoring this time! Apparently we have our own individual rooms for every night of the trip.
Being picked up early tomorrow morning to go and collect the bikes and then we’re straight off for our first day up in the mountains. Apparently we’re staying in some kind of cave hotel up in the mountains tomorrow night.
That’s enough for now I’m tired and I wanna go to bed. Night night XX

Cracking ride today. These bikes are awesome. Had a few bum clenching moments both on and off road but that’s what makes biking exciting! A few pics - staying in a cave tonight. Going right up the mountains tomorrow and may encounter some snow!
Oh, I seem to have a house guest - the hotel pooch. Just like home.
Update on the pooch. He was whining outside my door last this morning at 2.00. It was cold so I let him in. He slept on my bed all night!

Long ride today. Did a river bed and some off-roading. We tried to cross a mountain but the road had too much snow and ice on them so we turned back and went round. Arrived at the hotel well after dark - it’s bloody cold here. 2° but it was minus 2° Near the top of the mountain.

Well, the trip has well and truly gone tits up in a spectacular way. At the moment I’m miles from anywhere at the side of a forest guarding £125k of bikes while all the others are hiking back into the forest to recover a bike. I’ll give a fuller explanation later if and when we get to the hotel. Thank feck this happened on the last day and not the first.
