What have you been doing today?

Been fitting bloody skirtings, architraves, etc etc all weekend, started at 09:00 this morning and knocked off at 20:45 … sat in the garden with a beer and a Burger King I ordered on those phone apps.

Couple more to go tomorrow and their done hopefully. Need to give most rooms another coat, blinds come Wednesday, carpets come Friday.

Then I need a painter for the upstair/downstairs hall, put the rads back ionwith new trvs, change the lights, switches, sockets and the only job left after that is the stair / landing bannister.

Ugghhh

Clever idea that. Is it bath or kitchen sink waste? If the latter, would it not attract rats or mice (bits of food in the water)? I may divert my khazi outlet onto the veg plot, added fertilizer.
That’s a good idea. I could do the same as our downstairs bog is a macerator - if I connect a hose pipe and put my finger over the end I could spray it everywhere!

It's bath/shower.

The Aussies have two water mains one that's potable water one that's grey water

Your idea is brown water and that smells like shįț . Not even the rat's all like that

Last day for my students today. I let 'em go early, it was too hot and even the A/C wasn’t doing much. Big steel shutters directly in the sun, you could feel the heat from them from 3 feet away. Dunno whether I’ll be doing it next term yet - I’ve got used to not working now. I’ve done the usual tradesman trick of pricing it high, hoping not to get it but if I do, it will be worth it. If I don’t do it, I might just rent the place out yet or possibly sell it if the price is right. Big, big holiday coming up when we do sell it though - we're talking Clacton or even Great Yarmouth……;)

Went in to work on my scooter wearing just a T-shirt and shorts and even at 60mph there was no cooling breeze - it was like opening an oven door.

Sat in front of a fan, waited in for boiler service guy, he arrived at 11, now waiting for a rental van due at 3, then got to transfer my kit over before my van goes tomorrow for some bodywork repairs.

Mottie. Can you get over to the Motoring pages; I have a problem with my van
