What have you been doing today?

Tomorrow I shall go for a walk on the local beach. about 500 yds away. Before you ask, almost certainly will be deserted, if not, obs I will go home. Apart from that work as normal.
My neighbour walked to the (quiet) beach with her kids and hubby at the weekend, which is a similar short walk away for her daily walk, local plod told her to hurry up and go home! Shame they didn't walk through town and tell all the muppets queuing up outside the various shops and strolling about to keep their distance etc. Spineless idiots!

I think its important folk are discouraged from gathering in the more enjoyable spaces for fear that it's ok for them so its ok for us type of thing could happen.

So instead of walking on a quiet beach and letting kids blow off a bit of steam it's better to walk around the streets sharing the pavements with half the muppets out there who haven't quite grasped social distancing yet/don't get it, it's all very well for people with big houses or nice back gardens or grown up kids, it's a bit different to being couped up 24/7 in a small house with maybe a small back yard or a flat with a couple of young energetic kids, maybe add one person trying to WFH and the other trying to school the kids at home.

I get you Freddie. I also get Nosey...
We all need to eat drink exercise and look after our mental health
As Adults we have to do our own risk assessments however many times a day.

I wonder how many adults have assessed themselves to be not at risk to themselves and then unknowingly passed it on to others as they were already infected and were carriers?

Back on topic, i.e. 'What have you been doing today'.

I've been gardening again. Mowing a 3 metre wide strip of the meadow next to our fence. Farmer never gets any closer with his harvester so he said I can keep it low if I want. Saves looking at a wall of nettles if I don't keep it mown, instead we 'appear' to have a continuation of our lawn into the field. Much more pleasing to the eye.
Levelling out 3 awkward dips in the small lawn for Dave, our robotic mower.
Yes he has a name, just like most other appliances in our house thanks to my lovely wife,
Petrol mower is Pete, Strimmer is Steve, Wheelbarrow is Wendy, (had to fix her bottom today because she had a crack in it)(waits for the comments  ), Tommy the tumble dryer, Willie the washing machine, Derek the dishwasher etc. The list is endless and it's worse than having 14 kids and trying to remember them all!:LOL:

Now sitting down with a ploughmans lunch and a bottle of beer. :)

Jordan the pushbike. I've been in my loft killing wasps and fitting a shower pump and new shower valve. Will walk a dog soon, then walk the other.

some bA$£$%rd organised a meeting over my beach walk today, so no outing for me. All made worse by the fact it was a damn depressing meeting. My work world is falling apart.... well not really but sigh, and double sigh.

I've been watering my seedlings over where I do voluntary gardening. Delighted to see some of the approx 1500 sunflower seeds I put in start to come up! Hopefully, even with slugs munching, they'll be enough for it to look lovely this late summer :)
