What have you been doing today?

Always used to amaze me, the speed with with the scrappers could sniff stuff out.

I could put something out, and it would often be gone before I'd gone up the drive and back for the second thing.

Having said that, being in a democracy, don't you support people's (including your own) rights to protest peacefully?

The report I saw said they were arrested before even unfurling their banners.

I've been fitting my new heat, smoke and CO detectors. I'm a bit late as it has been law for over a year now, but I'll bet there are millions who have'nt done it yet.

Spent a while carefully unpicking the cable and virgin media socket from the hall (prepping before decorating)......

......only to find that I may as well have just ragged it out, as the incoming cable had been cut off outside :ROFLMAO:

Finally got this finished. (Not the jigsaw. That's a 2,000 piece one my wife is doing).
A Christmas present from middle stepson. Lift the engine cover up and wind up a little clockwork motor to send it whizzing across the coffee table. No glued parts. They are all jointed by little pegs and holes.
It's amazing how delicate the parts are and how many they manage to get on the sprue. Getting them off can be a bit daunting in case you break some of the balsa wood ones.

SWMBO decided to make her own way to the garden centre, to see what she fancied planting, leaving me at home, busy with the hedge trimmer - with an agreement that I would collect her and vegetation, if necessary, in the car. I put the washer on, left it too it, then came the phone call to pick her up. Out I went, leaving the washer to it. 45 minutes later, we got home, to find the washer flooding the utility room floor.

Checking it out, a pipe had come off the pump, so the machine was constantly trying to fill itself. Floor mopped, washer hoisted up on milk-crates, large fan and dehumidifier left running, to dry the place out.

I’ve had a stinking cold for over two weeks now, tested myself several times for covid and it’s not that. Been getting a pain from the bridge of my nose to my ear. Had my ears checked and microsuctioned In the week. Constantly blowing my nose (where does it all come from?) and get an 'orrible smell when I do. Phoned the doc and he said sinus infection so prescribed some antibiotics and a nasal spray. He sent the order straight through to pharmacy and I collected them.
At the moment I’m taking Atorvastatin for Cholesterol, Amlodipine and Ramipril for blood pressure, these antibiotics and a spray for my sinus infection. Hayvever tablets, Paracetemol and Ibuprofen for the pain plus the odd vitamin tablet. Ive lost my appetite which is just as well as I have no room in me for food!

Today I have mostly been deadheading the MASSIVE dandelion crop- left them to flower so the bees had some early spring rations (there have been a lot of bees around when the wind dies down so hopefully it has been worth the effort) and now pulling the deads off before they turn into puffballs and really annoy the neighbours. Well, the ones who aren't farming Transit vans anyway :)

I suspected it was something like that but didn't recognise it from this angle.
