What have you been doing today?

Put some reeds and ivy growing round it, to hide it :)

I'm being all NIMFY about it - It's gone on next doors front lawn along with all the spoil from the hole. They'll love me - especially when I use it tomorrow morning at 6.30 to do my ablutions. :ROFLMAO: !

Our downstairs loo is a macerator so may have to use that for number twos so that no floating Richards and paper are visible.

Blood tests first thing this morning. Most results ok, some were out of range but need them to be so as the chemotherapy appears to be doing it's job. ACR has now come down to 100 from an all-time high of 390.1 two months ago. Should be between 0.0 and 2.5mg/mmol. Downside is my kidney function has dropped to 41 from 61 in mid February.
Clinic a[[ointment with the consultant tomorrow so see what she has to say.

Fitted 4 new castors to my large tool trolley, (now all swivel instead of just two), now rolls whichever direction I choose.

Emptied the spa as not been able to balance it correctly since it was serviced a few weeks ago. Complained to company but, (as expected), yhey deny any wrongdoing as their engineers' report states it was left in a balanced condition and heating up when he left site. I had warned them when I booked the service that we have high PH at source, but instead of checking what it was, he just dumped a heap of reducer in as he was filling it and told my wife it will sort itself out when up to temperature. Wasn't interested when I told him servicing hot tubs was my role at CP. Pointless arguing with them as they will stand their ground. I'll service it myself next time.

Bit of tidying up in the garden and spreading a few more stones around the bottom wildflower area.
Now chilling out after a delicious dinner of chicken breasts wrapped in bacon with chips and salad, whilst watchig a film/series called Collision, about a major smash up on the A12

Had a message from my plot neighbour who is on holiday telling me that a certain 'helpful plot holder' had tried to water his greenhouse plants but pulled the door off of his greenhouse in the process, panicked, called the allotment manager, who called him on holiday!

Before he went away, he asked me to look after his greenhouse plants for him as the 'helpful plot holder' sometimes gets stressed with the responsibility. May have been my fault as the helpful chap mentioned that he hadn’t seen my neighbour for a while and I told him he was on holiday and had asked me to look after his plants. The poor bloke looked crestfallen that he had lost the trust of my neighbour so I tried to soften the blow by saying something like 'he would probably had asked you if he'd seen you'. Unfortunately that was all the encouragement he needed which led to his 'disaster'! Anyway, I went over and sorted it. It was only off of its rollers.

While I was over there, I noticed that the asparagus had given me another crop that wasn't there on Sunday so I harvested that too.

My stringless (Lady Di) runner bean plants had hardened up so I planted them while I was there too. Gonna be a great harvest this year - I just know it!

Been watching and generally poking my nose in with the Thames Water contractors who are replacing the drains from my house, across the gardens of two neighbours and from there to the main sewer in the street. We have pitch fibre drains and they are starting to collapse. They are having to replace 50 metres of drain and they are replacing that with clay, not plastic which I found strange but they said that’s all they use.

Day 1, they dug a big hole in my drive. Found the wrong pipe.
Day 2 , They dug another hole and found the right pipe. To be sure, they smashed it open and asked me to flush the loo.

That was it for the day. They told me to use my drains as usual and it will go into the hole and they’d empty it out next morning.
Day 3, the ‘super slurper' turned up early to suck it all out.

They then dug it all out and constructed a manhole in my drive.

That’s it for today. It’s still an open sewer so they will be sucking it out again tomorrow. Mrs Mottie has been forced to break her own strict rule and doing a number 2 in the downstairs loo which is a macerator as she doesn’t want anyone to see her turds! They now have to start hammering up two patios to get to the manhole in the next drive along, construct a new manhole and then dig up a neighbours drive to run a new pipe to the main sewer on the street. They reckon it’ll take at least two weeks. All the drains are like that around here and another neighbour further down the street is having the same work done - hers have completely collapsed and she's been having her drains siphoned every day for the last three weeks.

Just how much shoite do Thames Water think you can produce in a day, Mottie?
Actually, don't answer that

It’s not just Shiite, it’s wee wee's, washing machine, dishwasher, bath, shower, General washing up etc. Really surprised at how much waste water we produce - filled quite a hole last night - Mrs Mottie was worried the dog might go for a swim in it if I left the gate open!

I think drains/sewers are largely forgotten about until you see what they have to cope with.

Just did the weekly shop. In the bags was a packet of ham that I definitely didn’t buy but I do remember buying some ham last week and not eating it. Still in date but nah, I’ll give it a miss!

Tidied house from top to bottom, did 2 loads of washing/drying, ordered new prescription to be sent to pharmacy, solved a work problem I picked up in an email, (I'm officially off sick at the moment but check my emails to see whats going on. This involved a meeting room being double booked and nobody seemed to have an answer. Simples! Move one of the meetings across the corridor to the drama studio. It's free after 3.00pm and the meeting isn't due to start till 4.00pm  ), that got a few thank you replies and questions about when I may be back. Took granddaughter to school this morning and will be picking her up at 3.00pm Coming back here to stay again because her mum is currently in hospital waiting to have a caesarean and get her little brother out. My wife is her birthing partner because hubby could cope with it, so she is also in hospital keeping her company. Oh, and I've been waiting over two hours for Royal Mail to pick up a parcel between 12.11pm and 2.11pm As it's now 2.30pm, he late! And I now have to go to the school for the little munchkin.

Got ready to go to my West London centre today for a spot of quality assurance, Mrs Mottie was going to drop me at the station and for some reason I double checked my diary and oops, it’s planned for next Thursday and the Thursday after! At least that saved me a three hour round trip on travelling alone! Went and did the shopping. Finally got round to clearing out my wardrobe, vacuuming all the dust from the corners, putting winter clobber away elsewhere and hanging up the moth repellant tabs. Bloody moths - they honestly only eat the decent stuff.
