What have you been doing today?

Mine are not too huge

I agree, they're not too huge. But they are bigger than most tablets and other Vitamin D I have taken. My yellow multivitamin has more than 100 times the volume of active ingredients in total but is a lot smaller.

Sorry to hear that.

I said goodbye to my Dad in 2019.

I can't imagine life without parents.

Getting old is freaking me out.
Yes, it’s horrible isn’t it. Seeing someone you remember as being a big strong man that could protect you from anything, now so weak and frail. My dad died in 2015. I was lucky to be with him at his bedside when he took his last breath. I squeezed his hand and told him that I loved him and that he had been a great dad. I think he squeezed mine back or it may have just been wishful thinking. I've read that hearing is the last thing to shut down when you die. I hope that's true. I sat with him for about ten minutes before I called the nurse. I was just pleased he was in no more pain. I didn’t cry at the time but I often do when I’m thinking of that moment. I’ve never told anyone that before. Not Mrs Mottie, not my sister, not my kids, not my mates.

Taking my monthly Vitamin D tablets and wondering why the tablets are so big.
Because of side effects, the Doc changed my blood pressure tablets that were 5mg for a different type but they were 50mg. I was expecting something the size of a marble. They were a third of the size of the 5mg ones!

Good things sometimes come in small packages.

Took the Golf to work today and basically got paid to supervise and assess the students servicing it. Just the general service parts - Oil, Oil filter, air filter, fuel filter and cabin filter cost me £73.25! It's just getting oil and filter from next year and cheap oil at that!

You could get a week's driving in London for that! ;)
I can get that for free now in that particular 2008 ULEZ non-compliant but exempt from charges Diesel Golf. ;) Before the ULEZ expansion, it would cost me £12.50 a day to drive it up to my workshop.

Just called in to the allotment on the way home from dog walking to pay my yearly rent - £35 - and while there I picked some rainbow carrots and cavolo nero to go with our Sunday beef roast. You just can’t buy stuff that tastes this good in any store I know.

Went and picked up my eBay purchase of a new thermostatic shower valve. Had to go to the land of the one eyed, 6 fingered people (Kent) to collect it but got home safely without anybody telling me I had a pretty mouth. Fitted it in minutes, shower now working fine. Cooked a lovely Sunday roast with a nice bit of topside from the Waitrose meat counter and used some of my own allotment produce (above).

I got around to installing the updated maps, onto the memory card, for my cars built in satnav, which I downloaded a few days ago. I then decided to have a more through look around it's setting, and the thousand mysterious options it offers for navigation. I'm still no wiser :)

That was followed by - A very tasty roast chicken, which simply fell off the bone, mash and roast[1], carrots, cabbage, stuffing, Yorkie, and gravy. [1] The roasties/ potatoes, at the moment - simply will not brown

The dog will happily sleep on her bed, in the living room, but runs away from one put in the bedroom, rather she insists on sleeping on the carpet. The bed upstairs, used to be her older brothers bed, until I had to have him put down a couple of years ago - old age. To try to fool her, whilst she was out for a quick walkies with Avril, I swapped the two identicle beds over.

Took our Susie and my mums dog to the vets for their annual health check and vaccination. No real dramas except Susie made straight for the corner of the consultation room, tucked her tail right under her and stuck her head in the corner of the room hoping the vet wouldn’t see her - ostrich head-in-the-sand style! :ROFLMAO:
