Andy, was the Brummie plate on the car when you bought it a private one?
Reminds me of the tyres on the boys' Mitsubishi Space Star when we got it.In work now fitting a set of tyres to the A3. They're 40 profile XL’s so extra stiff sidewalls - took two tyre levers and plenty of lube to get them on the rim. Had to pump them up to nearly 65psi to get them to seat too and when they did, they did it with a fair old ‘pop’! Bloody hard work on my old tyre machine doing these profile tyres without an assist arm. Two done, two to go.
Looks like I still had a couple of miles to go on the n/s/r.

Not so on the o/s/r! Had more than enough mileage out of that one. How they got that low without me noticing, I'll never know. Pure laziness on my part.

Had over 4mm left on the fronts but they were different makes so I didn’t want to end up with 3 makes of tyre on the car.
Not sure I get the connection to Brum, but the BW plate must have been the previous owners private plate as the DT reg is the one that was originally issued to the car and what I got when I reapplied for the V5.Andy, was the Brummie plate on the car when you bought it a private one?
Well they definitely weren't grippier at first. Wheel spinning when pulling away sharpish, ABS kicking in when braking hard and I swear I felt the arse slide out on the first roundabout I went round. Mind you, that’s quite normal on new tyres until they have scrubbed the mould release lubricant off of them. They were perfectly fine by the time I got home 12 miles away. Did seem quieter though.Perhaps it's all in the mind, but they felt grippier on the way home both to me and the eldest.

Went out for an Indian meal last night with Mrs Mottie. Tried somewhere different in Hornchurch that we'd never been to before. Went to this place. Really nice food, a bit different from your normal Indian restaurant. Three things I’ve NEVER seen in an Indian restaurant: Two different Indian families were eating there, we were welcomed and served by an Indian woman and they also had two young white girls and one young white boy working there.
You must go to even less then. Name a couple that you go to and I’ll phone up and check. You mustn't go to many Indian restaurants then. Lol
Should I have said 'non black' or 'person of no colour' to avoid the vulgarities?White boy? How vulgar.
dont they call them pasties down thereYou cannot get a decent meat samosa in Cornwall.
