Mine just has a rucksack/wheeled travel bag lashed on the back of the seat, a rear view mirror, which used to be bolted to the side of the dash - which I relocated this morning, to fix it on the right front mudguard. It's lower there, but it gets an unobstructed view behind, without bits of body getting in the way, plus all the vibration it suffered, from being at the end of a long arm.
On the motorbike, back in the 60's, I was always impressed with those mirrors which fitted into the end of the handlebar. They were the only ones, which gave a view, without bits of your body being in the way.
