What have you been doing today?

I've had the broken bones wrenched, pulled and pushed back into place and a temporary cast put on.

Now I need to have surgery to screw and plate the bones together.

But they won't let me home because I can't safely use a walking frame.
Last time, I broke my right leg which is weak because of CP and the strong left leg was able to do the work. But now it's the other way round.

Still waiting to see what's happening next.
Only just caught up on this thread, sorry to hear about your accident…sounds ruddy painful.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, but make sure you take it easy and don’t rush it and put yourself at risk of more harm.

Yeah, it was rather painful!

My next issue being bedbound is not having gone to the loo! Since Friday..... I've been scoffing prunes and figs and all sorts of other fresh fruits and to be fair, there's been gaseous emissions a cow would be proud of, but nothing else. I've tried a commode a couple of times, but no joy. Hugely embarrassing too!

That'll be all the painkillers you’ve been having - they act as bowel immobilisers.

We have been looking recently, for a Smart TV, to replace the old dumb TV in the kitchen, around 22". We've failed miserably, they just don't make smart sets, that small.

No kidding...

Finally went last night. Won't go into detail, but I apoologised profusely to the lovely Nigerian male nurse, who kindly told me he was only doing his job (well, my job!), but when he left the room pushing the commode at arms' length, I heard him mutter "Sacré Bleu!"

My birthday present from Mrs Mottie arrived early today - a DJI mini 4K drone ... I’m going to wait till I have good weather and take it to an open space - don’t want to lose or crash it on my first outing.
And would that 'open space' just happen to be above the garden of Miss Jones the buxom blonde who lives three doors up and partakes in topless sunbathing even in winter?

What’s the point of painting the whole outside floor area with paint? Should be a non-slip paint if any. I know money won’t make you better any quicker but surely you have a good claim for damages against the owners?
You have to wonder about the decision making process. You'd have thought a very basic requirement would have been non slip paint, as you say if indeed they needed to do it at all.
