Blimey, 4 hours or more, and no response to your comment. Oh well, here goes:
If you're into couples, that's your thing, but I don't want to know about it.

Went for the paper, which I combined with a five mile walk.
Cooked breakfast sarnies.
Drank tea.
Did crossword.
Went to cut hedges, to find hedgecutters were pizzing two stroke mix
Dismantled hedgecutters, to find the fuel pipe was a very loose fit inside the grommet at the bottom of the fuel tank.
Took fuel pipe off, reversed it, and it sealed
Cut hedges and cleared (most of the arisings) up.
Did another crossword.
Just started a beer.

Can't do cryptic, not a chance.

My mom's partner always used to bring her the Sunday Express around so, when I used to be dragged around there, I would pinch the magazine and do that crossword.
Since not going around there, I just buy the SE anyway, and do the crosswords (and sudokus) in it.
