What have you bought today?

Some cracking tunes have come out of the 70s..

Some that are relevant to you that you could play:

Get down (Susie) - Gilbert O'Sullivan

(I never promised you a) Rose Garden (But I made you an allotment) - Lyn Anderson.
What about 'Love me, love my dog'?

Seriously, one song that I sing to Susie always gets her tail wagging with appreciation - it’s her absolute favourite. :giggle:

I had a cat who loved "Saturday Night".

Every time he heard it, his tail would be like a metronome.

You might think he hated it, but he never went away when it was on and even came into the room when he heard it.

Had my workout for the day. 9 quids' worth of jet wash at the local garage. Thought I would get away with £6, but it's a van so always takes longer than you think. Admitted defeat, and bought 3 more minutes. Does time ever fly so quickly as when you're using one of those things? Hope no one noticed me running around with the lance like a thing possessed. :giggle: They should make it an Olympic sport.

You should take your van to Tenerife to wash it. :giggle: The car washes are only one Euro and, there are loads of them. Some even have a gantry, so that you can wash the top of your mobile home or van. It's one Euro to use the vacuum, too.
Sometimes, we go to this one.
The statue represents a man from La Gomera (El Gomero) he's got his hands to his mouth because he's whistling. The people from La Gomera have their own language which consists of whistling so that they can communicate acroos the valleys, rather like yodelling.

. . . . my son bought me a rechargeable base unit for our Alexa. Couldn’t see the point of it until just now! Never been used, still in box so I‘ve dug it out of the drawer we keep all things electrical in and I have it on charge as I type. I’ll see how it charges and I might be blasting out some 70’s music over the allotment this afternoon. :giggle:
They do rechargeable base units for Echo Dots, OMFG . . . . . <scrabbles off to Amazon>

Thanks, but Canaries is a bit far. Those car washes look great. Used some like that in Czech Rep at a Tesco. Cheap and well run. Unlike in rip-off Britain, where there's usually only one or two jet washers, that may or may not be working and the ground around it has a thick layer of grime and mud. And swallows money at a rate of knots. :(

Neede a plastic ladle for my Ninja pot, In Dunelm looking at bedding spotted one for 70p, at the checkout was only charged 60p woo hoo

Carrot and sprout seeds, a bottle of tomorite and a mini watering can with a fine rose for the greenhouse.

The pull cord snapped on the bathroom light so rather than calling an expensive electrician, i fitted a new unit - saving a ton o' quids - then fitted this handle to brighten things up.

nb: i corked the hole in the bottom to avoid spiders finding a hidey-hole!

That's great, but the pull cords usually have a link allowing you to replace the old cord, but not the switch, when it becomes grubby or worn. No electrical work needed.

aye but the unit was 'clicky', making you pull the cord harder than necessary...which is why the cord snapped, i guess. Better out than in. (y)
