What have you bought today?

Great (y)
Sadly my days of high mileage/ two up/ continental touring are over, averaging 2 trips per year since 1991.
Every trip a gem, many great memories!
The Street Triple is just for me and local runs now.
John :)

Been asking on several forums about air rifles in gardens. What size garden do you have?

Maybe 35yds in my case but 10 could do. Must have a backstop that is always hit and not do silly things. Some people have noise complaints from near neighbours. Seems to be pretty rare though.

Actually as I need to shoot over some things to use the whole length of the garden and until recently there was a huge pile of stuff down the garden to go into a skip I've been shooting at 10m. For target shooting, my main interest it doesn't matter. The bulls eye for that distance is a bit over 5mm dia. Next year I'll probably join a club with a range. Field target shooting for instance goes up to 55yds.

I've shot on and off for rather a long time with various years gaps in between. ;) Gets harder as far as accuracy goes as I get older but it's a challenge. Some shoot rats and rabbits etc but I'm not into that. While some birds can be shot legally under certain circumstances I wont ever do that. And never up in the air anyway in the garden.

Nice looking bike(y)

I prefer the old bikes for some strange reason. As a youngster I wanted either a 650 Bonneville or a 750 Norton Commando.
Daft thing is, I've never sat my bike test and the biggest bike I rode singularly was a Yamaha 100cc when I was 15. LOL

As for what I have bought today. A number of Harry Potter Chrimbo pressies for my wife. I asked for a clue to what she wanted and immediately got a list messaged over to me on Messenger. We were sitting on opposite sides of the room at the time. Me getting my work boots on and she was at her desk supposedly working!

Sadly my days of high mileage/ two up/ continental touring are over,

I finally persuaded Mrs Mottie to come out on the back of my bike once. We'd done about two miles when she told me to stop. She got off, walked home and has never been on it since.

Had a clear out of paperwork, came across the stub from a v5 for my old vmax I sold about 15 years ago, looked online and it had its last MOT 2 years ago.
I’ve just checked my old Lotus Cortina - MCD405F - it’s not taxed or Mot'd but it is insured. I’m assuming that’s because it is now exempt from tax and mot. Good to know it’s still going strong. :)
