News article this morning from the head of the task force dealing with the illegal boat people, saying that the numbers crossing from Albania (via France) is equivalent to 2% of the adult male population of Albania so they must be processing something like 50,000 Albanian men. Assuming they are getting formally processed, I would estimate a minimum of 20k per head (medical, housing, benefits, legal). That's costing the British tax payer a fair chunk.

Nothing sensible to say.
The EU is a magnet for migrants from all over the world, some legal and some not so legal.
That is why Britain has crisis on its border with the EU.
The EU is now the problem and not the solution.
I am sure Britain has the problem because the immigrants are stuck in a corner of France with no option to go back into France the only option they have is to stay where they are or try and get across the channel to England.

Britain has the problem because the EU allows Albanian nationals visa free entry into EU territory.
Once inside the EU they head straight for the English channel.
While the EU exists in its present form there isn't much that can be done about illegal immigration.
