I wanted you to tell me.Can't you find it in your dictionary?
Try google
Ok. So, why is what people mean by race not accepted by you?Social constructionism questions what is defined by humans and society to be reality. Therefore, social constructs can be different based on the society and the events surrounding the time period in which they exist.
The same as (what people mean by) race, then, therefore it exists as much as politics and religion.Edit: Perhaps I can give a few examples of socially constructed concepts as elucidation.
Religion is a socially constructed concept. It doesn't exist as a scientifically based concept. It only exists because society has created and sustains it.
Politics could be similarly described.
Do you mean that they are not black enough? To take an example of how 'race' is socially constructed within the society that it exists:
Those who would be considered 'black' in Russia or South America, would be considered 'mixed race' in USA, South Africa, Europe or Australasia.
It is the case that anyone with the smallest amount of "blackness" is refered to as black - like Meghan - but that is irrelevant, isn't it.
Shall we limit the term black to people like Mugabe?
So what? This shows how 'race'/etnicity is not only a socially constructed concept, but the 'race'/ethnicity into which people are pigeon-holed varies from one society to another.
Yet you continually say that there is no such thing as race - but you continually use the word and say it means whatever you want it to mean.
