I had to resort to truckin again as the building work is deader than a dodo.

I've been trunking in a triangle, Bristol to town A, town A to town B, town B back to Bristol, in the last two weeks i have had out of a posible three loads a day = fifteen loads a week, been fully loaded three times and M/T at least twenty times, i put in 150-180 litres of fuel each day and paid about £100 a day and i think what a waste of money.

For obvious reasons i dont want to be to specific.

Yeah, sorry mate, didn't miss you...

Done a lot of that in the past with a 7.5 tonner. Last time I did a serious run it was an overnighter.

Manchester - Greenock - Gourock - Glasgow - East Kilbride - Gretna Green - Carlise - Manchester.

That was the run that made me decide to give up the fags. I took 200 with me and by the time I got back to the depot, I was opening the last pack.

Just get bored driving. Smoke one, chuck it out the window, then 5 mins later...I'm bored, what can I do? I know, I'll spark up another fag....

Miss it in a funny way.

Enjoy driving but as you say, cig after cig after cig but as you are not supposed to smoke in vehicles now its turning into sweet after sweet after sweet when I do have to do driving.
Mind you I miss the sights when not driving. The idiots who go tearing up the road only to be waiting at the lights when you roll up. Or the two idiots that overtake/undertake and then both try to get into the centre lane without checking! LOL! Usually see near misses when this happens but did actually see two hit each other once. Bits of mirrors/bumpers flying off everywhere and as the bounced off each other I calmly drove between them and carried on my way. Not getting involved with that shenanigans! LOL
And then there are the ladies. Passing by with their short skirts and smiling 'cos they know you are looking down from the cab. Aaaah! such joy!

Yes I quite agree but when you've just overtaken a car and he decides to speed up before you have distance/time to move back to the left what are you supposed to do?
