wouldn't touch either of those boilers as the are 24KW hot water will be rubbish end of!

go for for a minimum 30Kw greenstar or ecotec 831 you should be ok with either

i cant or haven't found to many flaws with wb they are as reliable as anything else out there on the market in the present day
all opinions given here about boilers will be suited to an individuals/engineers own preferences
i would try to find a manufacturer that offers a lengthy parts and labour warranty this is because as we all know that regardless of what boiler that you choose to have installed will fail/breakdown at some point

The iJunior was designed for the social housing market and is their bare-bones no frills product.

Worcester product line expected private clients to go for the Si junior, which has a hot water temperature control. What has happened is the Si version is more often not specified - the iJunior has no hw control knob, it is fixed internally.

The Vaillant 8 series is arguably better made than the i/si Junior range, but uses a larger casing so may not be appropriate for you.

If it is your own house consider the 28Kw model (or 31Kw in the case of the Vaillant).

Never trust an installer who recommends WB junior or i-series. They are predominantly used by cowboys that want to use the WB reputation, but don't want to pay the price. I have NEVER seen a junior that was installed properly.
Apart from that, it is decidedly inferior to the cdi models.

however it is the bottom end of the wb range

pretty sure they only come with a 1 year guarantee and no control over hw in 2009 is pretty dumb

i hate vokera with a passion although they do keep me in a job.

dont know enuff about the new vaillants

why not go to b+q and try a ravenheat

You don't have to use an A+ installerto get the five year warranty. WB have just extended the five year warranty for AIs to 31 July 09 plus you can get the extended five years warranty/four year servicing deal for £258.58 when deal above is not available to AIs.

Anyone else notice that WB website referrals have almost stopped since early FEB?

The usual UK figures used are gross which include about 13% water vapour.

Add this water vapour figure to a gross efficiency e.g 92% and you will get the nett of about 105%.
