The gather corbelling is just where the chimney is going at an angle rather than vertically upwards. It’s taking the weight of the whole stack, all the way up. It probably goes vertically up after the ceiling of that room

The diagram I did is based of measurements I did. The entire vertical is fully over the right hand side of breast - is this still likely to transfer load over to the left side?
All of the gatherings seemed keyed in every course on the back wall. My previous measurements assumption about the stack being supported all on the right hand breast was correct.
