Isolate the kitchen tap if you’re able to and possibly the basin (if a mixer).Only shower is what you see on the bath. No electric just from boiler.

Through which tap?, the Hot or the "cold".Yes.
Turning bath cold tap on fires up the boiler and hot water starts to flow.
No ,your turning on the baths hot tap ,the white indice with "cold " on it ,is on the wrong tapI turn on the bath cold tap and hot water comes out.
Very likely ,the tap can't swap the flows over itself !!Indices are the ceramic piece written hot and cold correct ?
The left tap is cold.
The right tap is hot.
I turn on the left tap marked cold and hot water comes out.
You saying when I put the new washers in I mixed up the ceramic parts ?
