i would be full of shame, but to me justice is essential... baby P's killers... should be killed even if it was my offspring...
then why add the until I die.

heaven knows why i'm in the dock... but i would dissown my child if they had killed baby P... it's important to understand that i would like to see the actual killer of baby P die... but in the analogy we speak of... i dont think i could sanction my own childs death... but i would insist he (or she) got locked up forever (or until i die - which to me, funnily enough , is the same thing).
so what's your problem ajs?

Briefly returning the the question of my son or daughter telling me they were gay. I would be mighty relieved to be honest. All this talk of doom and gloom, be it the next meteor to strike, the next super volcano and the apocalyptic aftermath, global warming, over population of the planet etc etc etc - I sometimes feel guilty about bringing children into the world. The thought that they wouldn't go through that angst and worry of parenthood would be something that would be a weight off my mind.

If you want someone executed or locked away until they die because that is just in relation to their crime. I could understand that, i wouldn't necessarily agree with it, but I could understand it.
You seemed to be saying that you would be equally happy happy with the same but more out out of a sense of shame. To me, that makes you no better than als who would also kill out of a sense of shame.
Now you say you would not sanction the death of your own child which is different to what you said earlier. Perhaps you understand my confusion.
