You know how people bitch and complain about the company they work for…

Where are these workers going to live if there’s a housing shortage?
We have a housing crisis, not just a housing shortage.

a crisis created by successive domestic govt failures…..but those govts point the blame at foreigners and you duly oblige

They left because they wanted to.
They'd made enough money to live comfortably in their country without having to work again.
I know a polish guy who built a gigantic villa in his country for less than £50k.
He's now retired there at the grand age of 45.
Others who are in the process of doing the same.
Nobody was kicked out.
Fact!

And as lots of Polish now working out the country the wages had risen significantly due to labour shortages . So he said he will be quids in when back

So again (this is getting repetitive with you), where are those extra million eu workers going to live in this housing ‘crisis’?

How were they badly treated?

this is just a Brexiteers trope

if they were so badly treated how come they came back year after year?
Compared to living in squalor, starving and freezing, it’s comparative luxury compared to some of these ru countries.

The resettlement scheme did not give citizenship. merely permission to remain, until that permission was rescinded.
And that permission is rescinded depending on the EU citizens leaving the UK, and for how long.
So when and if they return , they may not be allowed to remain in UK.

Kicked out, forced to leave, it's all the same.
England and Wales’ population of EU passport holders was 3.9 million on Census day 2021–smaller than the 5.5 million EU citizen applications to the EU settlement scheme (EUSS) in England and Wales. This suggests that many EU citizens who applied to the post-Brexit EUSS scheme had left the UK by March 2021, the Migration Observatory at the University of Oxford said today. The new Census data suggest that perhaps as many as one million EU citizens in England and Wales who had applied to the post-Brexit EU Settlement Scheme were no longer in the UK (see Notes to Editors for details).
