Hope of peace just allow things to go on as they have with a bit of hope for some that doesn't materialise. Yet the US doesn't do anything to stop it at the Israeli end. Hamas has it's own hopes but has stuck to a cease fire. Now due to comments from Benj Hamas don't think he will hold a permanent one so want a guarantor. There is another factor - security. Some body needs to be armed.

The Strip. Israel has mentioned a few intentions where the US has said no. Not sure about the buffer zone which makes the strip smaller.

The US. Is it down to votes ot policy. Their reactions on the security council could be for votes or policy. I suspect policy.

"Saturday’s strike is the fifth on a school in Gaza by the Israeli military since last Sunday, according to CNN.

According to the United Nations, 477 out of 564 schools in Gaza have been directly hit or damaged in the war as of July 6.

According to the IDF.
And all journalists have been killed or prevented from entering Gaza.
And any independent investigation has been refused by Israel.
It's a sad reflection of a country that is afraid of independent investigation and possible confirmation.

A rather large one with several buildings and a lot of people sheltering. Hit timed for when people could be praying. 2 missiles so at least not big bombs. The reduction in use of those often seems to result in 2 now. In one case this resulted in a doctor treating 6 people in ambulance driver gear. On the trot. Something he had never seen before.

It's known as a 'double tap strike'...

A favourite amongst terrorists where they attack the people ( often aid workers) who go to help out at the initial attack...

So Israel is using terrorist tactics...

Local authorities in Gaza City called it a “massacre”, as emergency personnel worked to locate and evacuate the injured from the rubble.

Taisir al-Tanna, a surgeon at the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City where many of the victims of the attack were taken, said: “There are lots of dangerous injuries. This has been a very bloody day.”

That would equate to nearly 5,000,000 NATO command centres. :rolleyes:
(NATO covers an area of over 6,000,000 Km²)

And that is just the schools that have been destroyed, then there's the hospitals (31), the Churches (341 Mosques), the museums (195 sites of historical importance), the libraries (at least 13), etc :rolleyes:
That's nearly 1,000 sites been bombed by Israel in Gaza, without counting refugee shelters.
That's over 2 sites per square kilometre. Each one claimed to be justified as a Hamas command centre. :rolleyes:

28,000 buildings have been destroyed. 360,000 structures significantly damaged. (That's 1000 per Km²)
Based on the schools, hospitals, churches, museums and libraries alone. at that rate NATO would have over 12,000,000 command centres. :rolleyes:
If we considered the structures significantly damaged, NATO would have had over 13,000,000,000 command centres.

So far about 7,000 Hamas have been killed.
That works out as nearly five times more innocent civilians killed for the number of Hamas killed.
40,000 - 7,000 = 33,000
33,000 ÷ 7,000 ~ 4.7

That's not war, that's retribution.

And yet the west chooses to condemn those who help the Palestinians fight back against the nation that is intent on wiping Palestine off the map...

So what's the difference from the claims that certain factions want to get their land back?

Israel has chosen not to go with a two state solution and thus the number who have died so far is but the tip of the iceberg...

And sooner or later there will be a massive miscalculation and we will be seeing the start of WWIII
