EFL, who avoided the issue by being pedantic about the minutia of what constitutes a question and is now is intent on stalking my every post in order to criticise. PBC, who wants to get into the nitty-gritty of VAT to prove that the EU is somehow a monster.

Quite the reverse. I'd prefer a reasonable discussion with acceptable behavioural conduct. But I do respond to offensive behaviour. Do you think I shouldn't? Do you think that only those lacking debating skills should have the monopoly on insults?
The fact is, it "appears" people have just become simply fed up attempting any debate with you, due to your superior attitude.
If those resorting to insults, because they lack the ability to discuss in an acceptable manner, have become fed up, well hey, am I disappointed? Am I bovvered?
Yes, maybe there are indeed times where people may get their facts wrong, or misunderstand an issue in current affairs. But, that's probably because it's what they feel / think at the time - you know, it's come from within!
So that makes it OK to resort to insults, does it? Instead of admitting they've made a mistake, or they simply say, "We'll agree to differ."
Unlike you, who I dare say sits there for an age googling around, making notes, and then trying to type it out in your own words in an attempt to be the forum intellect.

Again, you have misjudged me. I return from time to time to check on what's 'appenin'. If I'm unsure of my facts, I will check that I'm correct before committing myself. Perhaps you and your associates ought to do so, also.

You don't really mean "childish remarks." You mean offensive and insulting behaviour. Don't belittle your comments. They're out and out offensive.
JD and I often disagree and rip it out of each other, but with him I kind of see it as just banter (he may not feel the same of course..I don't know), but sorry, you are just plain irritating.
