Rishi didn’t cut them but he's doing something about it. I’d say cutting after 20,000 police and starting with 20,000 recruits is a good start. Presumably they started with just 1 so it’s moving in the right direction wouldn’t you say?

It’s not just quantity its quality, a neighbours alarm triggered a visit by the local police who found no evidence of a crime. Neighbour returned from holiday to find his rear patio doors smashed and various belongings nicked. Their excuse for not looking round the house was that the five foot side gate was locked and they weren’t able to climb it for health and safety reasons. The WPC was about 5 foot, clearly overweight and unfit.
