What a ludicrously ignorant and cringeworthy statement in the first post here.
Ask the victims of this hideous crime the impacts on their lives and possibly scaring for life this nasty, vile crime

I've met a couple of ladies that have suffered this type of crime and it can completely devastate their lives and of their loved ones. Having these sick
crimes investigated etc is NEVER pointless and that is a fact!!
Having charges raised against the perpetrator and taking them to court and finding them guilty often brings/helps the victim to bring this crime against them to closure but sadly many suffer for a long time afterwards/etc. It is not, 'pointless, waste of money,' and that is a fact

Of course it's bloody pointless. The blokes serving a sentence for murder. Would those charges increase his sentence? Heap shame on him? Stop him doing it again? Teach him a bloody good lesson? Nah! Pointless.

Imagine your loved one, someone close to you was a victim of this nasty crime like this and they were alone etc. Trust me
the vast majority of victims and they are victims of crime fear what may happen next and often run/cry, get upset and scared. Even the family gets upset and worries about them going out alone again. Many become fearful of going out alone using that route etc. People IRL NOT see it as "pointless" or a "waste of money" to have their day in court and see
the nasty, sick culprit being found guilty so they can bring closure to this.
I'm flabbergasted no one else has the courage to support this stance.
What kind of person writes off a victim of sexual crimes as collateral damage stating its a "pointless - waste of money."
So never forget, it could be a loved one next that suffers this type of hideous crime and I bet you every penny you do not have that you won't certainly be saying what was cringeworthyly stated in the first post, fact!!!

I can slightly see the argument for the victims -but surely the time and effort spent on it couldve been put to use helping other female victims of sex offenses
