he can't send cheese to N.Ireland anymore because of the EU regulations.
Another bloke in Perth Scotland can't send garden plants ...

That's not accurate. These items can still be sent, they just need mounds of new paperwork which makes it uneconomic.
Paperwork and checks which BJ denied would exist.

Cheese and plants can still be sent.
The plants just need to be bare plants, and the cheese needs to have no soil in it.
Or they could grow the plants in EU.

It's Brexit, the Brexit you voted for. Now you're moaning about the things you were warned about.

As for the shortage of shipping containers, they're being used empty, to artificially inflate the traffic passing through Dover.

Northern Ireland is pro EU and that will increase not reduce.

You are delusional.

N. Ireland is in a worse position now than it was before Brexit.
Exactly, and that is one reason why NI is now more pro EU, and more pro-reunification than at any time in recent history.
Brexit is certainly a driving force, but the handling of the pandemic is also very high in the motivation for unity.
The mortality rate in Ireland is about half that of NI, probably due to lower case numbers.
Experts suggest it is due to Irelands handling of the pandemic compared to NI (UK's) handling.
For instance, while UK was enjoying 6-nations rugby matches (attended by BJ and his fiance) and Cheltenham races, Ireland had closed schools, cancelled Saint Patrick's day parades and international rugby matches.

In the event of a referendum, it is expected that EU would back reunification, and Germany especially would support it due to the support given by Ireland during the German reunification.

Additionally the induction of the reunified Ireland into the bloc, is already guaranteed by EU.

NI was always going to be a gangrenous problem, because what the brexers wanted was impossible.

A border between UK and EU, but not a border between UK and EU.

Buffoon lied and said it would be easy to fix. He lied and said there would be no paperwork. No surprise.

Everybody knew he was lying. No surprise.

Brexers claimed to believe him. No surprise.

"In October 2019 Johnson “got Brexit done” by signing up to a trade border in the Irish Sea that Theresa May had said “no British prime minister” could ever agree to — it was a Faustian bargain that paid off handsomely that December in the shape of an 80-seat majority.

It also turned the key on the hardest possible Brexit, since with Northern Ireland consigned to the regulatory orbit of the EU, the rest of the United Kingdom (Great Britain) was free to set the fully divergent course on which we are now steering.

The deal that David Frost negotiated is based on not committing to regulatory alignment with the EU, and so contains no Swiss-style agreement to reduce vet and other plant and animal checks — which of course thickens that border in the Irish Sea."

With the Brexit, there was only ever four options:
1. Reunification of Ireland
2. Border between NI and Ireland
3. Border in Irish sea.
4. UK remains in CU and SM.

DUP opposed 1, 3, and 4.
Therefore their only option was the reintroduction of the border between NI and Ireland.
So the DUP has no respect for the Good Friday Agreement.

TM's version of Brexit preferred option 4, but DUP and ERG voted against it.
BJ's version of Brexit preferred option 3, and DUP voted against it, and now BJ and his government are trying to delay the proper introduction of option 3.
EU, and UK, and most other sane people rejected out of hand option 2.
UK will oppose option 1, but left the door open.

Why are you so bothered about a country you no longer live in?

The plants just need to be bare plants
You a garden expert, you can't send bare plants anywhere because they will die.
The plants have to have the soil washed of their roots and that is fatal.
Anyway why should anyone have to put with this sort of ****** from foreigners to send stuff from one part of the UK to another.
You and some other deniers seem to get some sort of peverse satisfaction out of trivialising hardships suffered by those you consider "Brexiteers"

BJ knew the rules when he signed the agreement.
Blame BJ for formulating the rules and agreeing to the rules, not EU for applying those rules.

You were in the club, you wanted out of it, and now you're moaning about the rules for non-members.
Moan, moan, moan......

There will come a time when it will be the EU who will be moaning, i hope you have a more sympathetic attitude to their plight.
