Eeyore is being even sillier, pretending he does not understand the situation.Ha ha you are contradicting yourself.
You were criticalnof the plans for open borders after Brexit from EU.
But above you are pointing out the fact that currently 'the majority of EU goods and people can pass unhindered.
You are arguing with yourself
You do not need to pretend, eeyore, you obviously do not understand!
"the majority of EU goods and people can pass unhindered." is very different from "open borders".
Most of EU goods and people can pass unhindered because of the current cooperation between UK and EU. That does not mean that they era not registered as they enter. It does not mean that suspect goods and people are not stopped and checked, and prevented from entry when required. Intelligent cooperation between UK and EU allows targeting of those cases.
Which leaves the majority of existing resources to target non-EU goods and people.
Post Brexit, those resources will need to address EU and non-EU goods and people.
We do not have figures for EU and non-EU arrivals, only those for migration, but those figures indicate that about half of the people arriving are non-EU people.
So we will have a situation where the available resources have to do twice the amount of work.
There is a similar situation with goods imported into the UK.
No doubt if your boss required that you do twice the amount of work that you currently do, with the same resources, in the same time........
No matter, I realise it is not a sensible comparison.
Now if you wish to continue to illustrate your stupidity, please continue.
