Gents, As much as I would like indulge you I do not have enough time left in my life to respond in way which would do your questions justice.

Not doing a very good job of this gun ownership lark, are they.
Perhaps the daft, rootin' tootin' Yanks need to take a leaf out of some other countries' book. Gun sales are far more important than lives though.
It's great to know that no teacher ever suffers mental illness. When did that come about?
yes another of Trumps great plans:
Trump: 'armed teachers could stop attacks' - a concealed gun could stop attacks very quickly.
a recent tweet: "A 'gun free' school is a magnet for bad people"
If not armed teachers then how about armed Police?

One thing that a lot of people entering into this threads debate need to do is have a reality check.
There are some armed bad guys out there intent on doing harm.
The bad guys prefered target of choice appears to be places where there are a lot of people in close proximity, like Schools, Colleges, Cinema''s etc.
If you consider the months/years it will take for any legislation to be brought in then why not at least try to offer a modicum of protection to all those people in these places by increasing the number of Law Officers and Law abiding members of American Society.
Or would you all find it more convinient to talk amongst your selves.
It is not the perfect answer.
But could potentially save more lives than doing naff all.

If only there was some way of making it more difficult for them to obtain military-style weapons and unlimited amounts of ammunition.
