MoTD was better than usual, same 20 minutes football but no irritating shouty commentators, and even more wonderfully, didn't have to endure the same tedious boring old has-beens in Liniker&Sheerer waffling on about nothing, they're just there to fill up the rest of the progamme, 20 mins football, 60 minutes waffling.

May be, if the beeb stopped wasting vast sums of money on tedious bores like linekar, then they could buy more football to watch.
I quite enjoyed last night's 20 mins of PL highlights without the self opinionated analysis by a bunch of footy has beens.

It’s funny how right wing supporters are suddenly thinking this way.

You can almost hear the cognitive bias cogs turning

clearly your cogs rusted up some time ago, spray a bit of wd40 in your lugs, use the long red straw to get it deep in, it may help

Well the BBC radio football live prog was still being aired

As the bloke said he is employed by the BBC to commentate and that’s his intent

Most of them (?) BBC tv football commentators probably did not want to boycott The football but thought it best to go with the flow

Bit like a public strike vote of years gone by all those in favour raise there hands those who did not got labelled as scabs or what ever
So they kept there eads down and went with the flow

Commentary is stupid. Invented for radio, then carried over to tv. Football has always been better with the commentary and analysis. A few world cups back on bbc you could press red and watch a match without commentary. Don't think they do that now?

I'm like that when watching quite a lot of sport, I would like to have the audio from the venue but would quite happily not have commentary.

Snooker is a pet hate of mine ...

And now he'll screw back and try to get on the blue and from there if he lands on the right side of the blue he'll apply side and a lot of force to hit the pack of reds. If he does that correctly he'll then ...

JUST SHUT THE FECK UP AND LET ME WATCH THE ACTION!!!

I'm sure the reason they don't have an option via the red button to switch commentary off is because they know a LOT of viewers would ;)

Cricket had Arlott and Benaud who let the pictures do the talking.

BBC grudgingly admit they are wrong, without apologising

Sometimes the snooker commentators do stop talking for 20-30 secs here and there but not enough for my liking. I get that's what they're paid to do, however for some sports it can spoil the 'what'll happen next' element. I don't need you to tell me he's going to try and pot red, blue, red, black, red, green ... let me see the action unfold for myself!

I see grovelling apologies are in order towards our Gary. Rightly so. Absolutely nothing wrong or inaccurate about likening some Tory MPs to fascists.
