Japans arrogance stems around the fact that they have an allie pact with America who have an Allie pact with Europe called NATO which states that if a member is attacked then we all have to go and get the agressor.

Japan has many American bases on her terrortary so if China came in with her heavy boots on then it becomes one big mess--so if Japan attempted to put things right now it could stop a big mess.

Trouble is China and Japan need fuel and it is reported that oil and gas are in the seas that Japan took from China and China wants back---------------oh dear !

The politics in the pacific are not so cut and dry. The Spratley Islands are claimed by pretty much every country in the orient. They are uninhabitable, but offer the prospect of oil and gas reserves. So, everyone claims them.

If only the Polish peasants who discovered crude oil bubbling from the ground 1000 years ago had known how much trouble it would cause!!!

Remember, whilst the Japanese were taking to desparate suicidal measures, the Germans were also. Ever seen one of these?

It's an Fi-103. Notice the similarity to a V1? It was originally used to test the V1, but later in the war when they were getting desparate, the Germans planned to use them in a "real" capacity. German kamikazes.

At the end of the day, the allies won. Courageous people suffered and died to ensure that. So even if we disagree about Japans obligations in 2005, I'm sure we can all agree that it is a good thing that we will probably never have to deal with such atrocities.

Adam, many of us are aware that many Germans were prepared to die for the defence of their homeland, but it was only a very small number, even in Germany, that were prepared to commit suicide for their Fuher. In contrast, Japan had several hundred thousand volunteers.

Even by todays standards they took suicide bombing to an extreme artform and make the Muslim bombers look like rank amateurs..

As for dealing with such atrocities again, ahem, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq (During Saddam Days) and countless other places. The scale may not be the same, but the methods and the outcome for the victims are identical. It will never stop until man is dead in the soil.

so in their eyes it is justified to kill 150,000+ people just so they can have their bit of blood! that makes you both as bad as anyone who ever commited atrocities, not that you have actually harmed but that you could do so in your minds.
So i ask of both of you, if given the chance to press the button and wipe out a civilisation today namely the Japanese would you? I think i know what the answer will be already!

Well the thread was started by ?? about Japan and appologies and what they did in the war etc and got away scott free etc etc--explanations given etc etc all on track etc etc

Then along come some others whose soul aim is to destroy the entire thread by either telling us what we are--telling us what we will do---telling us what we think---telling us we have disturbed minds etc etc and you know diddly squat about me---it was back on track but then the same attempts again.

On another observation the way the two of you are going around the forum patting each other on the back attempting to destroy other topics by attacking people again and again and mixing the threads up is getting rather childish

Instead of typing whatever enters your brain because you are unwilling to read and fully understand the entire thread, why don't you simply NOT post in it, that way everyone else can have a sensible converstaion that does not degenerate to insults...
